Artist's Description

The last bit of light reflects on the calm Biloxi Bay from the Ocean Springs shoreline. The clouds are actually the smoke lingering along the horizon from the protected burns they had been doing that day.
The Biloxi Bay Bridge is a bridge in the US state of Mississippi which carries U.S. Route 90 over Biloxi Bay between Biloxi and Ocean Springs. Though the bridge's ballast and accompanying railroad track was heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005, the superstructure remained and underwent major repairs.[1] It reopened to traffic on November 1, 2007. The span carries 6 lanes of traffic as well as a 12-foot (3.7 m) path for pedestrians and bicyclists on the Gulf side of the bridge.

About Joan McCool

Joan McCool

It's A Beautiful World! Raised in Long Beach Mississippi, the Gulf Coast has been my home for most of my life. I have always been a picture taker but became really interested in photography with my first digital camera in 05. The Gulf Coast has so much God given beauty to be seen from the amazing sunsets along the beaches and bayous, to the wildlife you see around everywhere. Every opportunity I can get I like to be outdoors with my camera to see what beauty each new day brings and to share what God has created with everyone.
